After the people built the Tower of Babel, God scattered them throughout the world and changed their languages, based on Genesis 11:1-9 and Acts 2:1-41.

In Babylon, the people stopped relying on God; they thought they could do everything themselves. They built the Tower of Babel, but God was displeased. He scattered them across the whole world and made them all speak different languages. Later, Jesus’ followers gathered together and God cast the Spirit upon them on the first Pentecost.
