Jacob tricks his father, Isaac, into giving him the inheritance blessing in this story based on Genesis 25:19-34; 27; 32-1-18; and 33:1-4.

When it was time for Isaac to bless his eldest child, his wife Rebekah had a different plan. Though Esau was older, Rebekah loved Jacob more and wanted him to get the blessing. The two deceived Isaac and stole the blessing from Esau. Esau was so mad that Jacob fled, and the two brothers didn’t see each other for 20 years! Yet, Esau forgave Jacob despite what he had done.
