Tigerfibel
Recreated from the original 1943 Panzerkampfwagen VI "Tiger I" manual and translated it into English. Beginning with an original German Tigerfibel, digitally enhanced all of the photographs and artwork and simulated the original manual with a careful and exacting English translation. As the original manual contained limericks, puns and verse, this translation was a challenge. This manual is also unique in that the style is informal with burlesque drawings and slang throughout. As discussed in the translator's note at the end of our translation, this choice was deliberate and reflects both the state of the war and German military psychology at the time of its writing.
