Heavy Trucks of the German Bundeswehr - Today

The German Bundeswehr is currently undergoing the most extensive modernisation of its truck fleet since its establishment. This concerns not only the equipping with modern vehicles for logistics, but also their deployment as carrier vehicles for highly complex weapon systems. The replacement of older vehicle classes such as the KAT I and types such as the MB 1017 with most modern series such as the UTF, Trakker and Zetros marks a significant progress towards efficiency, safety, versatility and ultimately effectiveness.
This publication shows, for the first time, the old and new heavy trucks in Bundeswehr service today, represented by manufacturers IVECO Defence Vehicles, Daimler Truck AG, MAN Truck & Bus SE, Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) and Scania AB.
