As with Warship Pictorial volumes, this book follows the standard format- a textual general history, followed by well-captioned photos in loose chronological order; first with Nagato, then Mutsu.

The pictures cover the usual topics of interest, with some nice shots of the embarked scout planes. As always, most of these shot have not been previously published in western references.
