The story of twin brothers Claude and Clyde Stokes, Oklahoma farm boys who crewed the M10 tank destroyer "Oklahoma Wildcat" together with the 636th Tank Destroyer Battalion, supporting the 36th Division. After the loss of the five Sullivan brothers, brothers were barred from serving together; a letter from President Roosevelt let the twins stay side by side.

Their account covers twenty months of combat in five campaigns, from the Salerno beachhead through the invasion of Southern France and on into Germany.
