Read the parable of the prodigal son as found in Luke 15:11-32.

There was a son who took his inheritance and left his family. He squandered what he had, leaving him with no family or friends and no money. He decided he had to come home and beg his father to hire him. Instead of being angry at his son, the father rejoiced and threw a party! There may be times when we think we know best and leave God, but He will always welcome us back with open arms.
