We just received samples of three new kits by Meng!
Here's a closer look:
TS-021a, 1:35 BRITISH MEDIUM TANK MK.A WHIPPET
This is a special edition kit that comes with a bonus set of Master Box figures. The model itself is the simplest of the three we looked at. Most of the kit is made up of flat plates build up around a hull tub. The tracks are single-piece, link to link.
TS-028, 1:35 Russian Main Battle Tank T-72B3
As with many other modern Russian armor kits put out recently, this one is wonderfully detailed. Since the Russians hang almost everything on the outside of the tank, there are lots of parts to add to the hull and turret. The tracks are multi-piece link to link. These are push fit and there are some jigs included to aid assembly.
TS-030, 1:35 GERMAN FLAKPANZER GEPARD A1/A2
Bundeswehr and Cold War fans will delight in this addition to Meng's excellent lineup of Leopard kits. As with the T-72, the tracks are quite involved. The hull and turret details are well-rendered and this is a great successor to the now ancient Tamiya kit.
